Spine Team Oklahoma Physician Bios Richard Thomas, M.D. | William C. Clark, M.D. Dr. Richard Thomas
Dr. Richard Thomas is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, fellowship trained in spine surgery. Dr. Thomas grew up in Oklahoma, and after medical training has returned to the area to have an active spine practice. He received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma, and his residency at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Rehabilitation. He then completed a fellowship in spine surgery at Panorama Orthopedics, one of the largest and busiest orthopedic and spine groups in the Denver region. Dr. Thomas specializes in the treatment of back and neck pain, degenerative disc disease, spinal tumor and spinal deformity, including surgical correction of scoliosis (curvature of the spine). Dr. Thomas works closely with local case managers related to speeding return to work for those people with on-the-job back or neck injuries. He is proficient in the latest minimally invasive surgical techniques and artificial disc replacement in the neck and low back. He is a partner of Tulsa Bone & Joint Associates, the parent group of Spine Team Oklahoma. Dr. William Clark is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in the treatment of spine problems. Dr. Clark grew up in the Tulsa area and has returned to practice in the community. He received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma, and his residency at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Clark then completed a fellowship in spine surgery at the Texas Back Institute, the first spine specialty center in the nation, and still one of the largest and most prestigious spine centers. A fellowship is the highest level of medical training available in the United States. Dr. Clark’s specialties include the treatment of back and neck pain, degenerative disc disease, spinal tumor and spinal deformity, including surgical correction of scoliosis (curvature of the spine). Dr. Clark works closely with local case managers related to speeding return to work for those people with on-the-job back or neck injuries.
